What is teen modelling?
Teen modelling usually covers young people from around 13 to 17, working on projects such as catalogue, lifestyle and fashion-style shoots.
It’s a chance to explore the industry properly: understanding what clients look for, building a simple portfolio and learning how a shoot actually works, all at a pace that fits around school.
UK Models treats every young model as exactly that — young. Nothing is rushed, and no promises are ever made about bookings or income.
Parental consent comes first
No young person works with UK Models without a parent or guardian’s full knowledge and written consent, from the very first enquiry through to any session.
We’re happy to talk everything through with parents directly and answer every question honestly, and a parent or guardian is welcome to attend any meeting or session.

Safeguarding and chaperones
Every session involving a young model is planned around safeguarding, not around the industry’s convenience. A qualified chaperone is arranged for session days, and a parent or guardian is always welcome to attend as well.

Licences for paid work
In the UK, children of compulsory school age generally need a performance licence from their local council for paid modelling work, arranged through the young person’s school and local authority.
UK Models will always explain what this means in practice and who’s responsible for what, so nothing catches a family by surprise partway through.

Building confidence, not just a portfolio
Beyond the photographs, teen modelling is a good way to build genuine confidence — learning to be comfortable in front of a camera, take direction, and handle both praise and feedback gracefully.
We focus on skills that last well beyond modelling itself: communication, punctuality, professionalism and self-assurance.
